Someone is sending spam using my email?

Someone has accessed my address book and is now sending spam from my email address to my friends. I think this spam may contain a program which automatically does this. The senders name is always a first and last name but the subject line is a single numeral underlined. It's embarring because the emails they are sending my friends from me are of enhancement and such. Can someone help me stop the madness?
