the best food is pellets as they are harder and help reduce teeth problems. As for the cage the bigger the better if the rabbit is large it will need a large cage such as a 5ft or 6ft if the rabbit is medium size a 4ft should be OK if the rabbit has access to a run it will be even better as it will be getting plenty of exercise. Hope this helps. Don't get one with a wire floor even though you benefit as the cleaning is reduced, it hurts the rabbits feet so isn't ideal
