I'd like peoples opinion on how I can respond to this: My partners family dislike me because I am a catholic..
They attend presbytarian/baptist church and believe that as a catholic I have not been saved because we take part in eurcharist, acknowledge Mary etc. I am not a devout catholic and I believe that EVERYONE (catholics, presbytarians, atheists etc) are entitled to their own opinion. If that is the lifestyle they chose and it doesn't hurt me how is it my place to condemn them? I have no problem with the faith they follow as my way of thinking is that we both believe in the same God and I would never condemn or try to change someones opinion of their faith but its really wearing on me having to constantly defend my beliefs. Not only with religion but also with s etc (I believe that if a person is a ual that is their choice and I don't see a problem, it doesn't affect me) I believe I'm fairly accepting and I'd like to have some ammunition for the next time they decide to try and 'save' me...
