Break action wear and tear repair?

There should be very little wear to the action from just breaking down the gun a few times. Most likely what you are noticing is the bluing wearing off where the barrel and the receiver hinge on each other. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to remedy this. The bluing will wear off to a certain degree. To keep the area moving smoothly and to keep it rust free just use a light coating of any name brand gun oil.
