HELP am i ovulating?

I am currently on clomid 100mg to try and ovulate, i have a mature follicle thats 18mm and i am experiencing lower pain in the left side( this is the side its growing), but my LH surge still has not been detected, my scan showed that it is nearlly ready to rupture, has any one else experienced pain before they have had a surge?
