How should "officialize" our relationship?

This girl and I have been dating for about a month now, and I just want to just officialize it. Anyways, I am going to take her to the beach, where it will be all frozen and snowy, and we'll get dinner before/after. But anyways, I plan on asking her on the pier. We're both 20. Yeah... I just want to know how I should word it.
